Valentine's Time Warp

Well . . . it isn't completely a Valentine's Time Warp. I took Michael to retrace the steps of our first date which was actually in November and there were a few things we missed, like going to see "Crazy for You" starring Matthew Shelton. The basics were all there though.

I started the Morning by giving Michael the one page that I was able to print of the 200 pages of reformatted emails that I was trying to get ready to give him. I was thwarted by an out of ink printer and will have to finish it later, but he was content to read some more of it in digital form and was amused that he had written he wanted to start a club called S.S.A. for short : Straight Sissies of America. He was always frustrated that being meek, enjoying the arts, and not liking sports often got you labeled as gay.

I took Michael over to his parents house where we began our first date watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. He caught up on some favorites and found a few new ones, while I cooked up some waffles and Strawberry Syrup in the kitchen.
After breakfast and cartoons we should have gone on a hike looking for the surging springs which is what we did on our first date, but seeing as it was still snowing like crazy and the springs no longer exist due to development we went straight to the front runner which had not been built on our first date, but it was awesome to take it this time so we didn't have to try to steer and cuddle at the same time.

The trip down to Salt Lake was interesting. When we got on the train it was almost completely empty, but as time went on it began filling up with people going to the UofU basketball game and people heading to the monster truck rally.

I even saw one of my Boys and Girls Club kids on the Trax train to downtown on her way to the monster truck rally.

Our first stop when we got to Salt Lake was the Church History Museum. It is one of my favorite places and the first place I took him on our first date. I wanted to show him my favorite picture of the Savior by Walter Rane. It is no longer on display, but I bought a print a while ago so it is on our wall and there were plenty of other exhibits to enjoy.

Things like playing in the "Tween Decks" exhibit of the Enoch Train. Michael found a very dashing Captain's coat for himself. Unfortunately and amazingly it didn't button closed. YAY! I am liking the meat on his bones!

At the exhibit on the Tabernacle Michael and I practice our best General Authority poses. Okay . . .so i look more like I am giving an acceptance speech, but still. . .

While we were at the museum we took a picture of the two of us on the couch we sat on when we first went there. It was the couch where Michael decided that the formula was complete and we were a good match after all.

I was of course much smaller that first date, but I am feeling the motivation this year!
And Michael says the chemistry is still perfect so I don't have much to complain about.

To be continued . . . . . .
